DPW ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO LABOR DAY REFUSE SCHEDULE

(8/21/2008) NEW HAVEN- The New Haven Department of Public Works has announced that due to the Labor Day holiday, trash collection will be delayed by one day during the first week in September. The New Haven Department of Public Works will be closed Monday, September 1st in observation of Labor Day. Regular trash collection for the week will begin on Tuesday and continue through Saturday. Items placed at the curbside more than 12 hours before collection are subject to fines. Residents may call the Citizen Response Unit at 946-7700 or visit the city website at www.cityofnewhaven.com for further information or other schedules.
